The PlayStation 2 era is very dear to me. It was a time when small independent game studios pushed every ounce of creativity into their projects, using emerging technologies to spark a sense of wonder through a blend of graphics, programming, and gameplay.

After going through some old hip-hop magazines shortly after his passing, I was inspired to create a PlayStation-2-style cover featuring MF DOOM as the protagonist, battling the fake industry devils of the music business.

I built a story around the concept, a tongue-in-cheek critique of the music industry and how it shifted from genuine talent and craftsmanship to a kind of corrupt recordlabel hellscape that turned Black entertainment into a circus of absurdity, coonery and other forms of unholiness via satanic forces.
